Messiah was the crowning achievement in the musical career of Charles Michael. From the beginning in Chicago 1979, until the end of Messiah in Texas, late 1981 - and then the rebirth of Messiah in Detroit, 1982 - until the break up in early 1988. When Messiah was in Texas they recorded 3 songs in the recording studio. "The Final Warning" - "Lucifer" & "You'd Better Say A Prayer" A local radio station in Houston, TX chose the song "The Final Warning" to be on a CD compilation of the best rock bands in Houston. Messiah also had a rock club in Beaumont, TX invest $50,000 into the bands show: The Final Warnin In Detroit, MI. the band Messiah was backed financially by a private investor. The band recorded a full length album called "The Final Warning" and a 5 song EP titled "Going Insane" Also a third album was in the works titled "CloudBourne" and had 10 songs written but never released before the break-up with management The song "Where Are You? won a local radio contest and was voted the best song by the Metro Detroit listening audience. The band was invited to play at the radio station's sponsored events, they liked the idea of tying in with a Christian Rock Band - good for their image! One such event, Harpo's concert theatre, produced the picture of Messiah complete with the beautiful stage built by the band members!
